This is a test on clouds in photoshop. I was never pleased with the clouds that i had on previous pictures. But now i am testing clouds with variable density and shadow casting, so this is more of an attempt on a new kind of cloud for my future spacescenes. So comments on whats good/bad with the clouds is appriciated.
I liek them basically. But it seems to me, that they reach out of the atmosphere at some places. They look more like dust- or ashclouds from century-storms or big catastrophes/wars. I think there should be a even outer sphere where the clouds don't reach any higher. Single bulbs on the upper side of the clouds seem ... disturbing, not natural.
agreed. they look like they're floating. Also the clouds themselves, if this were a realistic image, the clouds would span many hundred miles in size. lol maybe a bit to big and over crowded in my opinion. Clouds are really tricky, I know from experience myself. But I haven't been fiddling with them in photoshop, so I can't offer and advice on technique there. Sorry. Hope this helps...
Great job overall. But the clouds seem to be floating above the atmosphere instead. From space the clouds look as if they're part of the planet itself. For example, if you take two crystal spheres one inside the other and fill the space between them with clouds. Not a great example but it might give you some idea. Check out NASA pics of Earth from orbit too. I hope I could help in some kind of non-expert way. I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
Once again. Thanks for the feedback and support
Hope this helps...
Must work harder and make them smaller in the future. Thanks again for support and comment
Once again, thanks for the comment and continous support for my work
