The River by KennethJensen The River by KennethJensen
I have had this in the works for a long time (on and off for months)

With this i had a thought that i wanted to do something like River of Dreams [link]
but with a slightly different scenario and angle. I know it won't live up to the original, but then again. Not many sequals do:)

The idea here (that is different from River of Dreams) is that there's a rift in the universe, that makes nebula clouds and stars "flow" out from one place and over to a new place in space, like a wormhole where objects "teleport" from one place to another.

But here it is, i hope i succeeded and i hope you like it:)

Well i must say, at first glance, I'm just in awe at how you are able to make this just captivating to the eyes. It's subtle yet enchanting. As i look at it, I feel enchanted like someone just transported me to this blissful part of the universe. All top stars!! You really do have a gift for these pieces...will definitely add this one also to my favorites =) A little dark around edges but it adds to the impact of the picture. I hope to see many more of your wonderful works of art.

I hope you liked my critique =P

The space art that you do has a very dark and exciting atmosphere. I love how the colors flow in various deviatations of yours and how the background is usually dominated by blackness but still there is much detail and color in every piece. Your work is truly fantastic. Watched. (:

It realy looks like the nebular is floating through the hole. The effect is shown by the fact that the fog seems to flow around the object like a river, not straight more like a curve.
Although there are many lines to see that make the overall picture a bit uneasy, I do not know how it could be solved differently. Perhaps when the lines are like the nebular behind and around the planet. I'd love it if some shreds of luminous material would be entrained by the wind. This would illustrate the strength of the river. I think that the lower left corner has too little consistency, a few fluffy clouds more would complete the overall picture, that would underline the impression of a impenetrable wall. You have managed it, that the lightsource looks like: an never ending stream of water-like fog floating out of an enchanted spring ^^ I like that feeling it creates.
Last but not least, the planet got beautiful colors and I ask myself the question, how the river influenced the weather on it for millions of years :}
Listened the whole time Alter Bridge – slip through the void

All in all - I like the picture :}

This is a fantastic work. I love it. I immediately 'got it' before reading your description, so job well done.

My only thoughts on the creation, and god knows I couldn't improve on it, has to do with the flow of the river out of the rift. On the bottom, it just seems there should be a little more spillover of the river (out of it's banks for lack of better words) starting where the river starts to bend to the right on the bottom side about even with the middle of the earth. On the top side of the river (about 345 degrees from the center of earth) it also appears it might create a bit more turbulence around the dark area that starts the bend to the right on the top. (where the dark area seems to hang into the river from the top)

Now if you can even begin to understand that language abstraction regarding abstract art, I think you will get what I'm getting at. I'm not an artist, that's just the way it hit me.

Regardless, this is one fantastic creation, and my thoughts are not negative at all, they are just what came to mind as I enjoyed looking at the image. I don't know how you do it, but keep up the great work!
